So I got down to the Edge station around 2:40, Erin was with me, and the place was starting to fill up. I waited the 2 1/2 hours for Billy to arrive, and I was getting more and more excited every second.
Finally a black Ford pulls up, a couple of people pile out, and out came Mr Corgan. *insert glassy eyes and stupid-looking grin here* I was so excited. Apparently, according to Erin, I had that glassy-eyed-about-to-cry look going on. *L* I had never even seen him play live before, and here he was in person. He came up and started signing autographs, and he was pretty close. Erin managed to get a piece of paper signed by him for me, but I was pretty nervous to say anything to him. She was all like "go shake his hand or something". I was kinda like "I dunno.. he's kinda busy". She was like "fucking DO IT!". So I moved forward a bit and stuck out my hand, saying something like "can I shake your hand, bud?". He kinda looks at me, smiles, and shakes my hand.
I was so happy. I still am. I would've loved for the chance to actually stand there and talk to him, and tell him how much he's affected my life, etc.. but he was frantically trying to sign autographs before he had to be on the air - so I forgave him. He was still really nice to me, and everyone else. If that was the only time I get a chance to meet Billy, then I'll have to be happy with that.
Fuck it... I am happy with that.
We stood around and listened to the interview, which was awesome, and then left after he did. James had shown up, because he was going to try and take a picture of me meeting Billy, but he didn't make it in time - he was locked outside with all the other latecomers. We started wandering around downtown, and ended up going to the Chapters where he'd be doign a booksigning... right now, actually. *sigh* Too bad I don't own his book, or else I would've stayed. *shrug* Oh well.. I (sorta) met my god, I shook his hand... I can die happy.

Courtesy of a girl who was at Edge that day, here's a pic of what Billy looked like at the time.

There's more pictures here. I was hoping to see myself in one of them, but unforunately I was always out of the frame. D'oh.
